About Christina

Christina lives in Burnt River on a working cattle farm with her husband Boyd, their dog Lucy, and their 5 horses.

Farm life and the rural landscape provide rich inspiration for photographer and metal artisan Christina Handley, who lives on a working cattle farm in Burnt River, Ontario. Christina is a professional photographer whose photos of horses, nature and agricultural subjects have appeared in magazines, catalogues and calendars around the world. After her husband, Boyd, taught her to weld, she expanded her creative talents to include custom sculptures fashioned from new steel and found metal pieces such as old farm tools and machinery. One of her repurposed metal horse sculptures was displayed on the cross country course for the equestrian three-day eventing competition at the 2015 Pan American Games. Christina's latest works include a new line of unique metal pieces, created with a plasma cutter, suitable as home decor accessories or garden art.

Christina never sits still for too long and is always looking for that next challenge or opportunity.
